Learning Outcomes

UNIT 1: Female Hormones: Their Role in Health, Performance, and Recovery

  • Integrating female hormonal physiology into evidence-based exercise programming - this unit explores the foundations of female endocrinology with a strong focus on how hormonal fluctuations across the menstrual cycle influence exercise physiology, recovery, and adaptation. Students will learn how to apply current scientific evidence to support women across various hormonal profiles, including those with conditions like PCOS, PMDD, and endometriosis. This unit empowers students to use research-informed strategies tailored to individual hormonal and health contexts.

UNIT 2: Gender-Informed Physiology, Psychology & Coaching Practice

  • This unit examines the physiological distinctions between male and female bodies, highlighting implications for exercise prescription, performance, and recovery. Students will be able to design programs that reflect the unique needs of female clients, and address key issues such as disordered eating, weight stigma, body image, mental health, ADHD, and breast augmentation. All of which influence women’s experiences in fitness environments.

UNIT 3: Pre & Post-Natal Exercise & Returning to Training Post-Partum

  • This unit equips students with the knowledge and tools to confidently support women through pregnancy, post-partum recovery, and return to training. Grounded in exercise science, it covers key areas such as pelvic floor function, core rehabilitation (including diastasis recti), mental health, pregnancy complications, and common musculoskeletal conditions. Students will learn how to safely modify programs throughout pregnancy and the post-natal period, and gain practical tools such as pelvic floor screening and movement sequences to address back, hip, and core issues. This unit also includes specialist content on yoga adaptations and nutrition, alongside important considerations for fertility and holistic client care.

UNIT 4: Exercise Science for Perimenopause, Menopause & Post-Menopause

  • This unit provides an in-depth exploration of the menopausal transition from peri- to post-menopause, including hormonal changes, musculoskeletal shifts, and their effects on performance, health, and wellbeing. Students will gain the tools to adapt training, manage symptoms, and incorporate holistic lifestyle strategies that support long-term vitality and resilience.

UNIT 5: Business Mastery for the Modern Fitness Coach

  • From backend systems to client acquisition, this unit gives students the skills to confidently run and scale a fitness business. Learn how to structure your services, navigate tax and compliance, build an online presence, and streamline operations with ready-to-use templates, marketing strategies, and automation tools designed specifically for coaching professionals.
